I drew a picture in ink, and then scanned it into the computer and used Photoshop to color it. Now admittedly, I know nothing about photoshop, as the most I've ever done with it was to crop a photo and put in a background.
BUT...it turned out surprisingly cool. For me, at least.
I'm kinda proud of it, but I realize its still amateurish, but hell...I'm a amateur!

I admit it's a damn complicated tool for non po people but still people try hard on using it (like the new found love for apple's gadgets).
It's nice for a first try but I think there are other tools that might fit better for what you are trying to do (really) My girls told me it's more for image editing than for ilustration and there's easier tools out wich give more options on the subject.
Hope you keep practicing and showing us more of your stuff.
Oh, thanks for showing your first try, people usually don't show things up unless they can show off! :)
That's a class effort there Vikey!
Photoshop is perfect for illustration (you'll struggle to find anything better!) - especially how you've used it with the pen drawing/scan/P'Shop colouring business.
Top tip: After you scan the image, copy the whole thing to a new layer. Set the blending mode on the new layer to MULTIPLY (on the Layers palette). Select the original layer and whack a white fill over it. You can then paint on any layer under the Multiply layer without damaging or affecting the drawing.
